## GitLab CI check all commits submitted in merge request

This is useful when your merge request contains multiple commits and you'd like to lint them all.

Why not use image: commitlint/commitlint:latest?
Then you don't need to have the before_script

before_script:
- npm install --no-save @commitlint/config-conventional @commitlint/cli
script:
- npx commitlint --from $CI_MERGE_REQUEST_DIFF_BASE_SHA --to $CI_COMMIT_SHA
```
