Description

This pull request adds a descriptive section to the homepage of the search portal. The section provides an overview of the search functionality and highlights the use of Creative Commons licenses. The descriptive text is added to the index.html file, and the styles for this section were applied using the appropriate design system colors, adhering to the style guide.

The descriptive text used was suggested by the issue author @PreciousOritsedere here. It's open to review and can be updated.

Technical details

  • The new section was inserted in the index.html file above the form section.
  • Styling was done in the style.css file using existing color schemes.
  • Responsive design considerations were made to ensure the section looks good on various screen sizes.

Tests

  • Navigate to the homepage
  • Verify that the new descriptive section appears correctly and above the form
  • Ensure that the section is responsive on smaller screens
