MPEG2 Transport Stream

The MPEG 2 transport stream file (WMAS-MPEGTS-2018-2019-2020.ts within the zip file WMAS-MPEGTS-2018-2019-2020.ts.zip) contains three programs with service names WMAS2018 (PMT PID 4096), WMAS2019 (PMT PID 4097) and WMAS2020 (PMT PID 4098). The video content has a length of 1 minute and presents a still image showing the service name itself and silent audio (codecs: AVC, AAC). The multiplex bitrate is low (<0.3 Mbit/s), re-muxing should work fine with most modulators. Each service is assigned an application information table (AIT) with control code AUTOSTART and the respective app url, e.g. https://webapitests2018.ctawave.org/wave/index.html for WMAS2018.

Launch WMAS on HbbTV Terminal via DIAL

Another way to start WMAS Test Suite on HbbTV Terminal (Version higher than HbbTV 2.0.1) is by using the HbbTV Companion Screen (CS) functionality, which allows to launch HbbTV applications from companion devices using the DIAL protocol. This HbbTV Plugin is an example that can be used to discover HbbTV Terminals and launch HbbTV applications on them. This Sample App that used the HbbTV Plugin can be reused with minor modification: The URL of the HbbTV application to launch needs to be replaced by https://webapitests2018.ctawave.org/wave/index.html (WMAS2018), https://webapitests2019.ctawave.org/wave/index.html (WMAS2019) or https://webapitests2020.ctawave.org/wave/index.html (WMAS2020).
