The time it took me to realize your offer shows how desperately this project needs a new maintainer 😆

First of all: Thanks for the offer!
Can you prove your ability to maintain this project somehow? Maybe you could create pull requests for one or two of the open issues. After all that is what you would need to do anyways if you become the maintainer.
