Appellation Files in Vino

Purpose of Appellation Notes

Appellation notes in Vino represent protected appellations. he distinction between region and appellation notes, although somewhat artificial, is crucial for separating administrative and historical regions (like Central Otago in New Zealand or Zakarpattia Oblast in Ukraine) from protected appellations of origin (AOPs) such as Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG or Morgon AOC.

Requirements for Appellation Notes

The primary requirement for an appellation note is the inclusion of a appellation tag alongside a wine tag. Other than this, there are no specific restrictions.
