My tools & settings that I use in iOS Development
Auto-increment build number script:
#!/bin/bash
buildNumber=$(/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Print CFBundleVersion" "$INFOPLIST_FILE")
buildNumber=$(($buildNumber + 1))
/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Set :CFBundleVersion $buildNumber" "$INFOPLIST_FILE"
Add existing project to git:
git init
git add .
git commit -m “First commit”
git remote add origin <remote respository URL>
git remote -v
git push origin master
Add .gitignore to an existing project:
Commit all pending changes, then run this command:
git rm -r --cached .
This removes everything from the index, then just run:
git add .
Commit it:
git commit -m ".gitignore is now working"
