Members are good at what they do. Might not be the best in the world but good craftspeople.

MISSION / VISION:

  • provides a place and network for talented people to do what they're good with other talented craftspeople
  • contribute to the financial health of the members and their families- stable financial arrangement for all the families e.g. not getting fucked by clients, long-term work, work that's supportive for our families
  • B Corp mission - doing work for the best companies, values aligned work, engaged work

DECISION MAKING PROCESS:

The people in the co-op help people make the best decisions.

  • Fist to five- everyone gets a vote
  • Super democracy- closer to consensus
  • Council decisions are weighed more than general members?
  • Council members make decisions about new clients, new projects, new contractors, code, anything to do with the bank account
  • general members realm of decisions are more general and more rare (are general members more just like club members?)

PROFIT SHARING

  • everyone is in the pool if you put money through the bank account
  • Council members are in the pool X a certain multiplier

OWNERSHIP

  • currently not member owned, but the aim is to member-owned in ~2 years
  • currently owned by Ara and Corey to, who thus have more possibility of upside but also retain risk / debt
