This repository contains the content for the Intermediate Earth Data Science textbook currently published on earthdatascience.org. The textbook is used as a part of the Earth Data Analytics - Foundations professional certificate at the University of Colorado - Boulder. The program, which reaches CU undergraduate and graduate students in addition to professional students consists of 3 courses. This textbook is a companion textbook for the Earth Analytics Python course which is course 2 in a series of 3.
As of August 2021, the earthdatascience.org learning portal is currently growing and serves over 200,000 unique global users a month. It has served over 5 million unique users since its launch in 2018. The textbook has been vetted by over 100 students who who have participated in our courses, workshops and trainings.

Lessons found in this repository are compiled and tested using a continuous integration build that uses the Earth Lab docker environment.
