At long last v1.3 of the EBI Icon fonts is being released.
It has been quite mature and stable since summer and brings a number of architectural changes; to summarise:
- The new EBI-Common font that:
- Includes icons from EBI-Social, EBI-Generic, EBI-Functional
- Has icons from Font Awesome (key codes are the same as those on Font Awesome's gallery)
- Icons can be picked with CSS classes in addition to data-attributes:

What's next?
We'll be discussing if we make a v1.4 on work on a version that support the Visual Framework 2.0. In short, do we make more iterative tweaks (v1.4) or plan a more open re-imagining (v2.0)
