This document described the openBIS usage statistics collector. It is used to monitor one or more openBIS instances and collect all user events on the instance. The purpose of collecting these logs is to monitor activity on the instance to determine if users are adopting openBIS and whether the instances are being loaded optimally.
The following quality goals shall be met:

Every relevant event will be collected and reported

Security is ensured by avoiding storing credentials in the system

The system is configurable by allowing to disable or enable choosen event types
