Project Abstract

Nice1 #43

We are facing a problem of resources which prevents us from developing at the pace we had planned when we applied for the ENF grant. Even so, we have continued with the development, and we already have several parts that can be used and are available in the repositories. The problem is that not everything developed is under the same milestone, so we cannot close them to get the associated funds and have the resources to hire programmers to help us.

To solve this issue we could use the following change, which is much more in line with the reality of the development and the needs we have. We concentrate on Milestone 6, the tasks we have completed, and thus be able to send it for review and be able to collect the associated funds. That way we could give a boost to the rest of the milestones.

I am somewhat confused. You have not even completed Milestone 1, 2, or 3 yet. How does flipping parts of Milestone 4 and 5 help you receive funds earlier? We expect Milestones to be completed in order. Were you planning on skipping Milestones 1, 2, and 3?

In general, we do not allow you to make changes to the Grant Application after is has been approved and submitted without going through the entire process again.

Can you stay with the original Grant Application #43 and just deliver the milestones out of order? If yes, can each of these Milestones be tested independently of the others so the Grant Evaluators can be sure the Milestone is complete and then approve payment?

If yes, please proceed with the Milestones as they are complete (and out of order). If they cannot be dequately tested out of order, then you would need to proceed in order. Please let me know, we will kill this PR, and you should work from the original PR #43 .
Thanks,
Ted Cahall
