Head Assembly
ExoMy's head consists of eyes, a mouth and a Raspberry Pi camera.
Begin by inserting the pupil into the eye white. Gently push it into the eye white. Pay attention that you insert the pupil from the correct side as depicted bellow.
With both eyes assembled you can install them into the head. Take the M3x6 countersink screws and mount the eyes to the head. The threads are once again cut. Pay attention not to overtighten the screws as the screw hole is not very deep.
The mouth is held in place by a 3D printed spring that pushes down on it. To remove and install the mouth, the spring shall be pushed up.
Install the spring using the same M3x6 countersink screws as used for the eyes.
To install the mouth push up the latch from the back of the head.
Next, the camera will be installed.
Use the M2x5 screws to mount the camera. Pay attention that it faces the right way. Do not connect the cable. This will be done at a later stage.
Without installing the camera, partially screw in the two M3x8 screws to make hooks for the camera mount.
With the screws in place, you can now hook the camera mount over the top and tighten the screws.
Now proceed to build the top assembly.
