PlayStation Classic
The PlayStation Classic contains 20 games developed for the Sony PlayStation, as well as BIOS files that can be used inside other PlayStation emulators.
All of the games on the PlayStation Classic are very easily extracted from a stock console using a specially-crafted USB 2.0 flash drive.
NOTE: If you've installed BleemSync onto your console, these instructions don't apply. Instead, you should be able to download the games from your console via BleemSync's SFTP connection by browsing to the "gaadata" folder.
These instructions (and script) are adapted from this Reddit post
1. Format a USB 2.0 flash drive as FAT32, and set the volume label as "SONY". The flash drive must have at least 16GB of space. (An SD card inserted into a USB 2.0 SD card reader will also work)
- NOTE: The PlayStation Classic is very picky with regards to USB drives it accepts. If your drive doesn't seem to work, try another one. Do note that USB 3.0 devices (with the blue plug) will NOT work.
3. Turn your PlayStation Classic on, and once it's booted to the main menu, insert the flash drive into port 2 of the console.
4. The screen will fade completely to black as the games start copying to the flash drive. (This process may take an hour or so to complete)
5. When finished, the console will shut down completely (no HDMI input whatsoever). The flash drive is now safe to remove.
6. Games will be located inside the "gaadata" folder, in bin/cue format, inside separate numbered folders. The PlayStation BIOS files will be located inside the "gaadata\system\bios" folder.
