A user reported issues with getting the plugin up and running. I ran into them as well but struggled to diagnose the root cause. Simply updating the plugin dependencies to the latest versions did not solve the problem.
Last year, I created my own copy of the plugin to update the screenshots in the original guide in the Block Editor Handbook. I found this copy and was able to get everything running. A number of warnings/errors still appear, but the plugin builds as expected.
This patch includes the updates from my own copy. The plugin installs and builds, and the aesthetic matches the screenshots in the guide. More work is still needed to get this plugin up-to-date, but hopefully, this is a good first step.
