This commit introduces improvements focused on memory efficiency, code quality, and performance optimization while maintaining backward compatibility:

Code Quality:

  • Renamed num_embed to vocab_size in TransformerConfig for consistency
  • Improved error messages for padding functions
  • Simplified deprecated Sampler class

Memory Efficiency:

  • Optimized SamplingState to store only top-k logits
  • Added release_cache_memory utility function

Performance:

  • Added early exit optimization to Transformer for completed sequences

All changes preserve backward compatibility and existing functionality.
