A cross-browser extension to post links to your Lemmy instance. For now it is still in development.
This project is a fork from a similar project of mine : POST to lemmy
This version allows you have multiple lemmy instances stored by the extension, they are accessible from any device using your Google or Firefox account.
- 📁 Download the last release of the packaged extension for Firefox (.zip or .xpi) the add-on should install itself, otherwise follow the steps below.
- 🐛 Go to
about:extensionspage on Firefox browser - ➕ click on
Load Add-On from a file - 📂 Select the extension package
- 🐭 Open the extension using the icon at the top-right corner of your browser window and input the login intels to your Lemmy instance
- 📁 Download the last release of the packaged extension for Chrome (.crx)
- 🧩 Open the
chrome://extensions/page in Chrome browser woch is the extension management page, it's url may change depending on your browser. - 📂 Drag and drop the .crx into the browser window
- 🛠️ Click on the puzzle to pin the add-on to the extension toolbar
- 🐭 Open the extension using the icon at the top-right corner of your browser window and input the login intels to your Lemmy instance

Your lemmy instance shall use the v3 version of the Lemmy HTTP API (Lemmy version >= 0.10.0) to work with the extension.
You can see the lemmy version in the footer of any lemmy
- Go to any web page
- Select the part of it's content that you want to share
- Open the extension
- Edit the text and the title to match your needs
