While creating the repo I used the HacktoberFest logo from the digital ocean website, but I think now it's time we have our own logo.

It's okay (if you compare it with the Hacktoberfest logo from 2016). But i would use other colors to match the current Hacktoberfest theme. There are currently three colors:

#2a3493
#ed5c61
#ff9467

I would use the 1st one as background color, one of the other colors for the dot and the 3rd one for the lines.
