Looks like the new integrated ADT does not support extensions (like AppLaud)

Instead, install Eclipse and ADT plug-in separately before AppLaud. See
http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/installing-adt.html

Any timeline for fixing this compatibility issue?

It's unlikely to be fixed since the integrated ADT does not support extensions.
It's designed for people who want to Java development for Android and nothing
else with Eclipse.
