This module adds compendium data for running Scum and Villainy in Foundry Virtual Tabletop (FVTT). Intended for worlds running the Blades in the Dark (BitD) system.
To install and use this module in FVTT, simply paste the following URL into the Install Module dialog on the Setup menu of the application.
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/humer-me/scum-and-villainy-fvtt/main/module.json
If you wish to manually install the module, you must clone or extract it into the Data/modules/scum-and-villainy-fvtt
folder. You may do this by cloning the repository or downloading it as a zip archive.
I've also included an edited en.json file in this repository. This file can replace the default English localization file in the BitD system files in order to rename player skills to match their Scum and Villainy counterparts (e.g. "Hunt" will become "Doctor") To use this file, download it and replace the standard system en.json file located in Data/systems/blades-in-the-dark\lang
.
- Add a method for displaying ship sheets (convert BitD crew sheet)
- Add ship options
- Add crew modules/upgrades
- Investigate copyright options for including pictures in "Places" journal entries
This work is based on Scum and Villainy (found at https://www.evilhat.com/home/scum-and-villainy/), product of Evil Hat Games, developed and authored by Stras Acimovic and John LeBoeuf-Little.
This module uses only the publicly-available data from Scum and Villainy's GM and Player Sheets (available at https://www.evilhat.com/home/scum-and-villainy-downloads/), used here under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/).
The conversion for this system would not have been possible without the work of megastruktur in adapting Blades in the Dark to Foundry VTT.
Scum and Villainy is itself a "Forged in the Dark" game based on Blades in the Dark (found at http://www.bladesinthedark.com/), product of One Seven Design, developed and authored by John Harper.
