Hello! 👋

My name is Ian. I am an undergraduate studying Statistics, with minors in Psychology and Pure Math. I am focused on statistical analysis, data visualization, and understanding human behavior through data. My goal is to learn more advanced statistical modeling techniques as well as some machine learning methods.

Skills

  • Programming Languages: R, Python, Java
  • Data Analysis: Regression, hypothesis testing, visualization (ggplot2, excel), data manipulation, time series
  • Psychology: Cognitive and developmental psychological constructs

Currently Learning

  • Managing database systems with Python (numpy, pandas, matplotlib) and SQL
  • Data analysis and retrieval with SAS
  • Advancing Git and GitHub proficiency

Outside of Work

Outside of work, I enjoy reading about the history of mathematics and statistics! I am currently reading The Lady Tasting Tea by David Salsburg. I also enjoy cycling outside (when weather permits), listening to Jazz music, and collecting wristwatches!
