suggestion. give the teleport a longer cooldown so heretics dont feel encouraged to spam hit & run tactics. |
for multi-pathing, its probably worth looking at tg and copying homework: you can only get specific abilities in adjacent paths. i suppose this is more of an issue with a current lack of paths since theyre all "adjacent" but i wouldnt hate to look into devving some new paths as for the minor antagonist thing, we can just make her a main antag |
I think you would need some serious reworking of what heretics are doing and what their goals are to keep them a minot antag. Making them a major antag with their own gamemode preset like traitor or changeling would probably work the best. |
i know im the person who constantly crows against planning for future updates. but. i think it might be better to aim toward heretic continuing to be a minor antagonist because turning it into a major antag is going to eventually draw comparisons to cosmic cult |
IT IS DONE. Heretic is still unrotated because we'll probably want to do some preliminary test rounds before unleashing the new gamemode. Merge whenever you're ready! |

looks all good! couple suggested changes for the future-
- some easier way to denote the 'tier' of knowledge purchased in the ui. could just add a number to the start of it, but having a whole different ui might just be nicer. possibly we can copy cosmic cult's ui homework
- would be nice if there was a way to select the functionality of the flesh grasp rather than having it be random, a la the ritual select
wrt the major/minor antag thing, i'm fine making this a major antag. its different enough from the cult gamemode, since heretics are encouraged to act independently & not cooperatively. if the issue comes up when cult is implemented we can address it then.
amazing work on this pr, looking forward to playtesting!
i CAN and WILL fix her. feel free to comment with any balance ideas idk if i can do this all myself
