The application guidelines state that only one application per organization is allowed. But, partnerships and collaboration are desired and are in fact part of the scoring criteria. Can you elaborate how two or more organizations that plan to collaborate should specify that collaboration in their applications and in their budgets? i.e. if Organization A plans to collaborate with Organization B as part of their application, I assume that Organization A would specify such in the narrative of the application where it asks “How will your project be collaborative?” But, how should this be defined in their budget and how should Organization B specify their collaboration with Organization A if they’re not the prime organization submitting the application?

To begin with, we would like to note that projects submitted through an application should be individually sustainable and not be dependent on other applications receiving grant funding.

Due to the size of the grants in this program, we are not necessarily looking for applications that are stacking funding like we were in the Creative Economy grants. In this case, each application should address its own project. If an organization is collaborating with another organization for their project, it should be indicated in the "How will this project be collaborative?" section as well as the "Who else is backing your project and what are they contributing?" section. This is where we would like to know what resources you are utilizing from outside sources, whether they are monetary or in-kind.

If two organizations would like to collaborate on one project, it would likely be in their best interest to put together one application around that project.

The budget submitted will define what the grant funding will be used for. You will not need to define how much money the entire project will require.
