Releases: jeffeb3/v1pi
V0.18.0
Release
I have done some testing, and I am confident this is a big step forward.
- RaspAP updates on the hotspot version
- CNC.js v0.9.23
- OctoPi 0.18.0, OctoPrint 1.5.2
- Supports the Pi Zero 2W (supposedly, I don't have one yet to test).
- Based on Raspberry Lite Bullseye
Big thanks to @heymish, @jdforsythe, and @jelkose for their contributions.
The websocket API isn't working (I think it is a problem with the haproxy.cfg). SSL still isn't working. Some apps, like OctoApp won't work. OctoRemote mostly works, but some things are not fully functional without it. If you want good octoprint app support, I would suggest using octopi directly.
V0.17.1
Stable Release
- CNC.js 1.19.22
- Octoprint 1.4.0 and based on OctoPi 0.17.0
- RaspAP Allows some configuration of the hotspot via the web UI.
- Based off of Buster (from May), so it supports raspberry pi 4.
Please be patient in the next week or so. I want to test this on my machines. But the bench tests I've done on my rpi4 on my desk have been very good. I'm mostly worried about the compatibility with the pi zero/zero w.
V0.17.0
Stable.
- CNC.js 1.19.20
- Octoprint 1.3.12 and based on OctoPi 0.17.0
- New RaspAP Allows some configuration of the hotspot via the web UI.
- Based off of Buster, so it supports raspberry pi 4.
Please be patient in the next week or so. I want to test this on my machines. But the bench tests I've done on my rpi4 on my desk have been very good. I'm mostly worried about the compatibility with the pi zero/zero w.
I have tested this on my machines, and after fixing a few bugs, it's working well. I have tested hotspot and non-hotspot on these:
- Raspberry Pi 4
- Raspberry Pi 3b+
- Raspberry Zero W (works, but there are sometimes large lags)
- Raspberry 2B. no-hotspot works, but is slow. hotspot version kept crashing, but I think that has to do with the wifi dongle I used. Still, I would just rather use an rpi4.
I connected these to my printers, and printed something in octoprint and cnc.js. I also went through the setup steps, including the hotspot and camera settings. I haven't done a long job yet, but that's just because I'm in a hurry.
v0.16.0
Beta release. This has not been thoroughly tested.
- CNC.js 0.9.20, with two specific Marlin bugfixes
- OctoPrint 1.3.10 and based on OctoPi 0.16.0
- Added buttons to start or stop the servers to the landing page
- Disabled the https to the landing page, since connecting to the servers wasn't secure anyway
- Enabled OctoPrint api functions to connect without adding the :4080 to the address
- Changed the landing page server to be flask based, which will be slightly more secure
- Built using docker, not that it matters to v1pi users
- Based off of raspian 2019-04-08-raspbian-stretch-lite.zip
Auto hot spot isn't working right now. I'm not really sure how many people use it. I like the feature, but I don't like this implementation. I can fix it if there's interest.
v0.15.1
This is based off of the OctoPi 0.15.1, and includes the "latest" of cnc.js (1.9.15) and octoprint (1.3.9).
I'm going to change my versioning to follow that of octopi, because it will help me keep things straight in my mind.
This is once again based on the raspian image from 2018-03-13. The latest one, from June, has a different wpa-supplicant file, and needs some work to get going. Running an update would be a good idea.
v0.1.1-no-hotspot
This image doesn't support the auto-hotspot stuff.
v0.1.1
0.1 based on octopi 15 (prerelease)
My first release. Very few tests so far. Very few added features.
