I haven't looked into the exact details behind the marked gem, but it looks like a fine 1 to 1 changeout of showdown to marked. |

Maybe @dylangrafmyre can include this with an update to the gems, etc. |

The facebook tutorial switched from showdown to marked: reactjs/react-tutorial@233dbf7
