Deadwood Prediction

Aim of this project is, to include the Simple Water Balance Model to improve the deadwood prediction.

How much can soil moisture explain the occurrence of deadwood?

Workflow for the project:

Analyse water balance evolution for the Harz and Black Forest
Show significance of soil moisture
Implement a machine learning model (Autogluon) with soil moisture as a predictor
Further predictors can be included: soil data, NDVI, LAI, climate data ...
