So you want to write a blog post for the Kedro blog? Awesome! Before we can accept anything, we will need you to give us a brief summary of your post. Please use the template below, or something similar, to craft a proposal.

Don't fill in the blanks in this page. Please take a copy of the text below and put them wherever you want to work on your brief, then send it to us as a link, or text, via Slack.

Blog post brief

Introduction

  • What is the blog post about?
  • What is the problem this blog post solves?
  • Who will find this information useful
  • What title would you choose?
  • What keywords are you trying to hit?
  • How long will this post be? For example, a short 3 minute read, a 20 minute hands-on tutorial, a 10 minute thought-leadership piece.
  • Will you be including code snippets, screenshots, video, diagrams, or similar?
  • How would you promote your post in a tweet or linkedin post?

Narrative subsections

In this section, please list each of the subsections of the post and what each one covers. Please take this section seriously and give some thought to the flow of your post and how you will take the reader from start to finish.

Conclusion

In this section, we are looking for your pitch. Sell us the value of publishing the blog post and the value to the reader for putting in their time. What have you explained that they can't find elsewhere?

Here is the same brief, but as markdown, so you can easily copy it to create your own brief.
