this arduino code has the MPU 6050 integrated, which also calibrates the MPU6050 upon start-up. It also continuously sends over the heading in degrees over the wifi connection.
The python added a new function to read the heading data and add it to the existing matlab plot. It is real-time, so as the heading changes, the heading will auto-stream and auto-update on the plot.
