Currently, the emulator's sound doesn't exactly match what your project would sound like on the board because the emulator doesn't execute instructions at 12.5 MHz. See my comment for a comparison of the emulator's sound (running on macOS) compared to that of my real project demo on the board.
This will be fixed in another release soon (TM).
