Common errors

The visualizer is not moving or not working.

Increase the sensitivity in the settings window or check out the Troubleshooting AudioLevel plugin post on the official forums for more help.

The visualizer bars are cut off on the top.

Lower the sensitivity in the settings window and if that doesn't work lower the volume of Rainmeter in Windows.

The visualizer is showing all sounds from the computer, i only want it from my media player.

Due to limitations of Rainmeter and the plugin used for the visualization the complete audio output of your system will be shown on the visualizer. This is something I can’t fix.

However there is a option to hide the skin while no media player is running, so it will not show up until it's running.

Media players

foobar2000 is not working.

Download and install the foo_cad plugin found here: http://poiru.github.io/foo-cad/

Spotify is not working.

Spotify is no longer supported directly since an update from Spotify broke the plugin, but you can still access it via the WebNowPlaying plugin. For more information, click here: https://github.com/marcopixel/Monstercat-Visualizer/wiki/WebNowPlaying-Spotify

Web media players are not working

You will need to install a browser extension for it to work. Currently there is a Chrome and a Firefox extension. You may be asked to add an exception to your firewall when connecting for the first time.

Google Play Music Desktop Player is not working

Open the player, click on the menu in the top-left corner and open the Desktop Settings. Then enable the Playback API and restart the player. You may be asked to add an exception to your firewall.

MusicBee is not working.

Open the MusicBee settings (Edit -> Preferences), click on Plugins in the menu and enable the CD Art Display plugin.
