MediBloc Blockchain Explorer

MediBloc Explorer works with panacea-core.

Prerequisites

To run MediBloc Explorer following resources are required.

• Node.js v10.13.0 or higher (https://nodejs.org/)

• Yarn v1.9.2 (https://yarnpkg.com/en/docs/install)

• panacea-core v1.0.0 (https://github.com/medibloc/panacea-core) - You need to follow all instructions in the document.

  git clone https://github.com/medibloc/panacea-core.git
  cd panacea-core
  make
  

Installation

• Clone the MediBloc Explorer repository and run.

  git clone https://github.com/medibloc/explorer.git
  cd explorer
  cd client && yarn install
  cd ../server && yarn install
  

Start(Server)

MediBloc Explorer Server uses Mysql as Backend Storage

Install & Configure Mysql

General : https://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql-installation-excerpt/5.7/en/

Mac : https://github.com/rajivkanaujia/alphaworks/wiki/Install-MySQL-using-Homebrew

Default database name is "medi_explorer". You can change database name or host in server/config/default.js. Create this database with mysql command-line.

And then, You must configure ENVIRONMNET VARIABLES with your DB username & password

export EXPLORER_DB_USERNAME={username}
export EXPLORER_DB_PASSWORD={password}

Then, cd server && yarn syncdb && yarn start

Configuration(Server)

The server/config/default.js file contains configuration settings for MediBloc Explorer Server.

Blockchain endpoint

To connect with custom MediBloc blockchain, blockchain.url should be set.

// you can set this endpoint to your blockchain.
const endpoint = 'localhost';

Start(Client)

MediBloc Explorer Client is using Webpack.

If you want to watch all the changes of the code in real time, run the following command. It will run the MediBloc Explorer on the port 8080(http://localhost:8080).

yarn start

To generate the minified files, run the following command.

yarn build
