When text is selected, it can not only be copied but also searched for. In case the selection is a domain name like example.com it should also be possible to open it right away.
Note: The above sentence may serve as a test case.
PS. The code forces the new tab to be active, mainly because currently the tabbar won't scroll or otherwise show the new tab if it's not visible. This should be revisited when we can address the UX issue with background tabs.
