Hi, here are a couple of patches I made for our environment. I had to use a non-system ruby and an existing MongoDB instance.
Unfortunately this means I had to stop using the node[:unicorn][...] attributes, but that's the only incompatibility as far as I can tell.
This version will setup as the "errbit" user as well.
