#05/10/21 webex notes
Continue with Martin Schreiber's Sessions for MPI 5 document.

or newer in the same folder.
Review section 3, esp. the diagram for section 3.5.3. Illustrating coercive and cooperative cases. Tony brings up scoping and consensus. Subscription models. Event driven model outside of the MPI_T. See notes at the end of today's version of the document.
Martin Schulz brings up the fact that sessions are local so we can't really link up events of a global nature with what is suppose to be a local object.
Back to discussing how Martin Schreiber was thinking of handling notifications from the runtime. The model had been just one process would get notified then broadcast info to other processes.
What could/should be allowed in a callback given this event based approach? Tony suggests this a QOS issue.
Tony will try to get a short presentation ready for our next meeting to discuss events, etc. that they are investigating in the context of other FT efforts.
