I'm seeing a lot of formatting in PRs, I'm wondering whether it's worth implementing git hooks to run https://github.com/psf/black -- so we're on the same page and also to clean up our PRs a bit.

I believe we have done this for ridgeback; closing.

Sorry, misread - we are doing python black formatting for this repo, but we haven't implemented the git hooks.
