Data Federation, of which is addon is a fundamental part of, provides applications with consistent (S3) access to their data sources across the hybrid cloud, independent of where data is located, in addition to native storage format.
Data Federation is not:
- a data storage service, or,
- a service that transforms or virtualizes customer data (can always be accessed directly).
