I am Nina Dombrowski, I am a bioinformatician at the Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics (IBED) at the University of Amsterdam. I am involved in diverse projects that use computational approaches, such as metagenomics and phylogenomics, to understand the role of micro- and macro-organisms. This includes analysing data myself but also involves teaching students how to apply computational approaches on their own data.
I'm a self-taught R and Python programmer and an open-access enthusiast. On my page, you'll find multiple courses that I have taught during my postdoc years. Feel free to browse them on my Website. Please note that these courses are often works in progress, and I update them whenever I have the opportunity to teach.
Here are some general programming tutorials I have created that you might find useful:
- Getting started with the command line including example files
- An introduction to AWK with example files
- An R cookbook with example files
- Data manipulation with dplyr
- Data visualization with ggplot2
For biologists, I also have tutorials on:
