astroblast win64_v0.6.0
Windows v0.6.0 release
This release includes a C64 emulator for Windows 64 bit platforms. This is the probably the release to get if you just want to try the game out and/or don't have a C64 or emulator available.

- Download the astroblast.zip asset from this release
- Unzip astroblast.zip anywhere on your Windows computer.
Run
- Find the unzipped astroblast directory.
- Run astro.bat in the astroblast directory by double clicking on it or via command line
General
Press F1 for help at title screen.
The game is a two player game and needs to use both C64 joystick ports. The emulator is pre-configured to use the keyboard for both joysticks which is ok to see how it works, but this may not be a reasonable way play since sharing a keyboard with two players is not optimal. If you have physical joysticks you will want to configure them in VICE via the Settings -> Input Devices menu option.
The preconfigured joystick keyboard mapping is:
joystick 1 (top ship)
- a: left
- d: right
- w: up
- s: down
- Left control: fire
joystick 2 (bottom ship)
- left arrow: left
- right arrow: right
- up arrow: up
- down arrow: down
- right control: fire
Release Notes
- Added single player mode and adjusted the start screen to fit the option
