Bug fixes:

Thanks - I applied your changes here and upstream (ocaml-multicore/eio#348).

The only CI failures are on macos: one failed to install ctypes for some reason, and the other is failing as expected due to the sandbox preventing the network tests from running. (also, these were supposed to be OCaml 4.14 tests, but upgraded the compiler to trunk).

So, should be OK for merge.
