This allows to work with numpy >= 2.0.0.
It's almost impossible to have doctests that work with both, numpy 1.x and numpy 2.x. Introducin a lower bound to Pandas as well allows to remove Pandas <2.2 compatibility code.

Coverage decreases because we delete (tested) checks for old versions of Pandas. The failing test gets an access denied at Elsevier, probably because of too much traffic by GH pipelines. |
