Home
The objectives of the Gallery app are:
- to provide a more appealing way to visualise media files for both logged-in and anonymous users
- to offer a slideshow available from within both Gallery and the Files app
- to offer a pleasant experience on mobile devices
- to offer basic file management features (uploading, organising)
They are not
- to offer a grid/thumbnail view of all files (no pdf, fonts, office doc, etc. previews)
We want to cater for the needs of both casual users as well as professionals which need to deal with more than pictures taken with a camera
The interface should have a very low learning curve. The app should come with sensible defaults while still offering a way to perform more advanced operations
