satoruhiga's original demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yz3-cj-qnd8
My personal build process for the current version but making it work with Python3.11 for Blender 4.1. This worked for an older version of satoruhiga's repo but not for this one. So this is WIP ! Even after changing CMakeList.txt and forcing cmake to us python 3.11 there is still linking against 3.10 done.
Update: rolled back to an older version of the CMakeList.txt file. Totally frankesteined version of this project but working vor Py3.11
- adjust build.bat to you environment. For me that is:
- create env var for cmake not beeing global
- for Blender 4.1 change to Python 3.11
- git clone pybind11 to /hio/libs
git clone [email protected]:pybind/pybind11.git
- git clone Catch2 to /hio/Catch2 (make sure to clone the 2.x branch)
git clone -b v2.x [email protected]:catchorg/Catch2.git
./build.bat "C:/Program Files/Side Effects Software/Houdini 20.0.625" "h:/home/pyenv/py_win_3.11.8/Scripts/python.exe"
- open _build/hio.sln in VS22 and build Release of core_20_0_625
