The meta-exotic layer is a proof of concept layer to prove a generic method of creating the set of tools needed to support a Microcontroller or other secondary processor in the Yocto environment.
The About page introduces the project in more depth.
The meta-epiphany (elink-redesign branch) uses this layer to create the toolchain used for the Epiphany processor.
Building cross compilers is complex so I have provided a guide to the design of meta-exotic in an attempt to make it easier to get started with this layer.
