What is this?

Scratchpad is a mildly esoteric drawing webapp meant to enable exploration of artistic expression in geometric ways.

Why does it exist?

I initially wanted to make a presentation tool I could use my stylus on, but the bugs I encountered looked so cool that I started converting them to features.

Why can't I change the colors?

I want scratchpad to be about exploring shapes and inversion, and I feel that an expanded color palette would distract from that. It would be pretty easy to add (via <input type="color">, for example), so perhaps a fork is in order.
