Welcome to the PlayStation 1 reset mod wiki!
The PlayStation 1 reset mod allows you to reset the PlayStation 1 through a combination of button presses.
This is particularly useful if you own a PSIO from Cybdyn System and want to get back to the PSIO menu without getting up from your couch.
And as of V1.2 it also supports the xStation reset.
The default reset combination is Select + Start + L2 + R2 for digital and analog controllers, A + B + Trigger for a GUNCON.
Since V1.2 the Select + Cross + L2 + R2 combination has been added. It's used for a longer reset pulse to add support for the xStation by @ramapcsx2 on github / @_ramapcsx2 on twitter.
Anyone contributing to this mod is in no way responsible to whatever happens to your PlayStation 1 after installing/removing it.
You do this at your own risk.
If you don't know what you're doing, go to someone that does.
The reset mod has no memory card access detection mechanism.
As such, I do NOT recommend to reset whilst you're saving data.
Best case scenario nothing bad happens to the memory card.
Bad case scenario, the save game is corrupted.
Worst case scenario, your whole memory card is corrupted.
You have been warned.

And if you're interested in knowing how I got to that point, here's an 8 part video playlist where I go from the Arduino Nano to a PIC16F18325 and a schematic with PCB.
