Giga-Git

Overview

Giga-Git is an enhanced version of Git, developed as a university project by Mohammad Mahdi Rajabi Robat (402106015) at Sharif University. This project aims to provide additional features and improvements to the widely used Git version control system.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

• C compiler (e.g., GCC)
• Git (for comparison and reference)

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/mohammadrajabi/giga-git.git

2. Compile the source code.

3. Add it to the path.

Usage

Giga-Git follows a similar command-line interface to Git. Here are some examples to get you started:

• Initialize a new repository:

  gigagit init

• Add files to the staging area:

  gigagit add <file1> <file2>

• Commit changes:

  gigagit commit -m "Your commit message"

• Create a new branch:

  gigagit branch <branch_name>

• Merge branches:
