A bit more context:

In theory MTComm.cpp is part of code provided by Xsens back in the day, but we already found small bugs in that code (see Fix a compilation error with ROBOTOLOGY_ENABLE_ICUB_HEAD enabled #591)
The bug was noticed by testing the robotology-superbuild on Windows, in particular in https://github.com/robotology/robotology-superbuild/runs/303309716
