Resources
Resources are collected by the user by accomplishing game objectives and may be used either to evaluate the player's prestige within the game or to be spent for other benefits.
Currently there are two resources in the game: points and gold. Points can never be spent (with the exception of challenges) and are a measure of a player's prestige within the game. Gold may be used to buy spells inside the game.
Successful actions by the player inside the game almost always results in them receiving points. The current level of a player is determined by the number of points. A level is defined by the number of points a player needs to have.
Points are defined by formulas and are awarded during the game. Sample events that result in being given points are:
- initial points when authenticating within the game
- completing a quest level
- completing an entire quest (some points may be given when completing a quest)
- answering the question of the day
- successfully completing a challenge
- completing a quiz
- accessing a lesson link
Certain actions by the player result in the player gaining gold. Gold may also be distributed by the game administrators/owners as karma, for some action that had occured outside the game.
How much gold you acquire is defined by in-game formulas. Gold can be achieved in the following situations:
- getting to a new level inside the game
- completing a quiz
- doing outside game actions and being awarded karma points
Gold can be spent on:
- spells
- artifacts
