Summary

The pickup and deliveries calendar is very very slow. Address it

Why

Reduce bank frustration

Details

Note that they are hitting refresh while it's still working, we probably should prevent that in the same way we are preventing people from double-clicking the save button.

History

One of our banks has raised that the pickup and deliveries is very slow -- about 30 seconds. The have been hitting refresh, which just makes it take even longer.

I have confirmed that with their data on a local copy, there is a palpable pause before the calendar is populated.

Confirmed that they are using Chrome, also.

Origin

See discussion with Kenneth Adkins in human essentials support channel starting June 9, 2024.

Recreation

You probably need more data than is in the seed to see the slowness, but you get to this via Pickups & Deliveries in the left hand menu

Criteria for completion

  • Speed up the pick up and deliveries significantly
  • Include some explanation of what the issue was in your PR, please.
  • Any current pickup and delivery tests still work
