Matlab v1.0 Release

v1.0 must do the following as a Matlab script:

  • Accept a nozzle profile and predict M, P, and T over the profile for quasi-1D flow
  • Determine whether the flow contains normal shocks and the location of such shocks
  • Plot these parameters versus the x-axis, including the shock cases.

  • Predict and output thrust and specific impulse
  • Match known validation cases

v1.0 may not, but future versions should:

  • Work on multiple platforms
  • Have a GUI
  • Handle cases other than non-reacting, homogeneous gas propellants without heat addition
  • Predict performance 2D by the method of characteristics
  • Take performance losses due to geometry or assumptions into account
