Simple bash tools that aim to help transfer files to USB Drive and monitor their syncing progress.
Solving, so called, USB-stick stall problem (when files aren't fully copied even though they appear so on USB Drive).
Requirements:
rsync
(for file transfer progress)
Tools available:
usbcp
- USB Drive enhanced copyusbmv
- USB Drive enhanced moveusbdd
- USB Drive enhanced ISO image writing toolusbumount
- USB Drive enhanced umountusbeject
- USB Drive enhanced eject
Clone the repo:
git clone [email protected]:satk0/usbdrivetools.git
Symlink scripts to /usr/local/bin/
(recommended, copying to external usb drives requires sudo
):
sudo ln -s "$PWD"/scripts/* /usr/local/bin/
or to ~/.local/bin/
(sudo
would not be able to access the scripts):
ln -s "$PWD"/scripts/* ~/.local/bin/
NOTE: Run those commands from project directory!
